“The Critical
Access Program provides
a safety net to maintain rural services.”
AHA News, April 18, 2005

Over 50 years of dedicated doctors, staff and community support helped move
into the future with a renewed commitment to quality care for our community.
We are proud to announce the completion of a $7.5 million renovation and addition
of our facility.
Many factors drove the building project, the need to update the facility and
equipment, more space needed for existing and additional services as well
as the fact that over 50% of medical care is provided on an outpatient basis
versus inpatient. These much needed changes position us to become more competitive
in staffing and attracting new physicians. It is allowing us to care for patients
locally that in the past had to travel by providing new services such as:
CT and expanding our ultrasound services.
A Capital Campaign kicked off in April 2005, raising funds enabling the hospital
to gain competitive financing and act as a debt service reserve for the life
of the loan. The goal exceeded the $250,000 mark with the help of Capital
Campaign supporters, private donors and the surrounding community.
We hope you feel the accomplishments we have made as a community, retaining
our hospital and providing quality care for our patients. Thank you for helping
us help our community!
