answer some of the questions that you might have about our policies
and methods or practice. If at any time you have a question that is
not discussed please feel free to ask any of the staff members who would
be glad to assist you. We take great pride in our hospital and the services
that we provide. We also realize that a stay in the hospital is a stressful
situation, so it is our mission to treat you with the greatest of care
so that you many return to your family and every day life as soon as

and to providing the finest health care available.
– PRIVACY –
As a patient, your health information is a private matter. We, at Okeene Municipal Hospital, take every measure to assure that all of your medical information is kept confidential. You have entrusted us with your care and we want you to understand that at no time will your medical information be discussed with anyone other than you or your physician. – ADVANCE DIRECTIVE–
The Advanced Directive is a document authorized by Oklahoma law that addresses sections of advanced healthcare decisions patients may encounter. These sections include Living Will, Healthcare Proxy and Anatomical Gifts. A person may complete any section or all three. This directive may be completed by any person of sound mind and eighteen years of age. It is witnessed by two persons who will not benefit financially from the patient's death This document becomes effective when the attending physician and another physician determine that the person has an incurable and irreversible condition that even with the administration of life-sustaining treatment will cause death within six months, for a copy of the Advance Directive Acknowledgement CLICK HERE and the Advanced Directive CLICK HERE.

– Dietary –
Some patients may have a special diet recommended by their physician in order to obtain optimal healthcare results. If you have any questions or concerns, please inform your nurse. A guest tray can be ordered for any meal by informing the nurses.
– Smoking–
The Okeene Municipal Hospital,
Okeene Medical Clinic and Schallmo Assisted Living Center is a smoke free
campus. Smoking is no longer allowed on any hospital, medical clinic or assisted
living center property.

– Valuables –
Money, credit cards, jewelry and valued personal items should not be brought to the hospital. The hospital does not accept responsibility for items kept in your room. If a few valuables must be brought, they may be kept in a safe by contacting your nurse.
– Electrical appliances –
All patient-owned, electrical appliances must be checked for electrical safety These include radios, hair rollers, blow dryers, electric shavers and televisions. Please contact your nurse about this safety check. Battery operated appliances are welcomed and do not require approval for their use. Electric blankets, space heaters and electric heating pads are prohibited for your safety.
– Telephone/Television –
To place a call outside the hospital you must dial ‘9’ and then the number you wish to call. A pay phone is available in the dentist office lobby for long distance calls. If you need additional assistance, please ring a nurse.
