Doug Barnes retires from hospital board
The Okeene Municipal Hospital is announcing the retirement of Doug Barnes from the Hospital Board of Directors. Mr. Barnes is stepping down after serving on the hospital board for 20 years to devote more time to his family and his business, NW Measurement, LLC.
“Doug has provided sound and thoughtful guidance during his tenure on the Okeene Hospital Board of Directors, and we thank him for his many contributions,” said Shelly Dunham, hospital CEO. “His experience and perspectives have helped shape Okeene Hospital’s strategy and vision and prepare the Okeene Hospital to have a leading role in providing the Absolute Best Care to its patients.”
Over the last 20 years, Doug has played an instrumental role in the many updates and changes the hospital has undergone. His insight of “all things mechanical” was invaluable during the 2007 expansion and renovation project. “Members of the board, past and present, have enjoyed working with Doug,” stated board chair, Brenda Sheik. “He was always fair, firm and consistent. When he made a decision, you knew he had thought it through. The Okeene Hospital is a better place because of Doug’s efforts and commitment. The remaining board members hope we can say the same when we retire.”
